Traverse around Dallas.

No trip here would be complete without paying Fort Worth itself a visit. Head to the Stockyards National Historic District. Watch the Fort Worth Herd Cattle Drive or view a live rodeo at the Cowtown Coliseum.

Approximately 30 minutes’ drive from the centre of Dallas and located at the heart of the state of Texas, rent a car and unearth the wonders of this stunning area.

Explore Dallas and its Surroundings

Travel to Grapevine Lake. Indulge in some retail therapy, enjoy a wonderful meal or go straight to the lake itself. Whether you fancy a spot of boating or fishing, or something a little different, there is plenty to do here.

The two nearby zoos both offer an interesting and fun day out. One is located in Fort Worth and another nearby Zoo located in Dallas. Both house a range of animals from a variety of species such as lions, elephants and penguins to name a few. The Dallas World Aquarium is another zoological point of interest worthy of a visit.

Visit one of the many museums on offer in the area, such as the Perot Museum of Nature and Science. This is a natural history and science museum located in Dallas. Alternatively, take a trip to the Amon Carter Museum of American Art which is located in Fort Worth.

Sightseeing in Texas

The theme park, Six Flags Over Texas located nearby in Arlington offers a range of rides from rollercoasters to water rides. Enjoy some time here with the family.

Take your hire car and head out of the Dallas Fort Worth metropolitan area to begin exploring the State of Texas. To the South are the cities of San Antonio, the State’s largest city Houston and the State Capital of Austin, all of which are filled with things to see and do.

If you have enough time, why not journey to Lewisville? Arrange a round of golf or two at one of the twelve golf courses in the surrounding area. Spend some time at the Lewisville Lake Environmental Learning Area, grab your hiking boots and explore.
