With a number of museums and art galleries in and around Chicago, there’s no shortage of culture to soak up. The Art Institute of Chicago is an encyclopedic art museum in Chicago's Grant Park and features a collection of Impressionist and Post-Impressionist art in its permanent collection.

For sports fans, there is plenty of choice when it comes to catching a game. Head to Wrigley Field to see the Major League Baseball’s Chicago Cubs. Alternatively, visit the United Centre, which is home to basketball’s Chicago Bulls and to the ice hockey team the Chicago Blackhawks. You could also book a seat at The Soldier Field and watch the Chicago Bears battle it out in a game of American Football.
Another idea worth considering is going to the Adler Planetarium. This is a planetarium and astronomy museum. It was the first planetarium to be built in the Western Hemisphere and is the oldest in existence today. Visit Lincoln Park Zoo which is one of the oldest zoos in America. It has over 1,250 animals on show from big cats to bears and gorillas.

Davenport is a city located along the Mississippi River. It is a short drive from Chicago by taking interstate 80 or 88 westwards from Chicago. With a number of nearby museums, parks, golf courses and scenic countryside, a trip here is certainly worth making.
Bloomington is found to the south west of Chicago with the most direct route being interstate 55. Attractions include The Pepsi Centre, an indoor ice skating rink, Miller Park Zoo and the Upper Limits Indoor Rock Climbing Gym.

Hire a car and follow Interstate 65 south and you will come to Indianapolis, the state city of Indiana. There are a variety of restaurants, museums, parks and shopping malls on offer whilst in Indianapolis. Catch an Indianapolis Colts American football game or watch a race at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway.
