Head to Stanwick Lakes and look out for the range of flora and fauna here. Discover the lakes on a bicycle or use one of the walking trails to discover more. Cottesbrooke Hall and Gardens are all well-worth a visit during your stay here.

Visit the city of Coventry which is just a 45 minute journey away. Explore the Cathedral quarter, visit Coventry market and stop off at one of the city's award winning restaurants.
Plan a trip to Rockingham Castle in the nearby town of Market Harborough only 40 minutes away. Used as a Royal Residence for 450 years and built by William the Conqueror in the 11th Century, it's a top attraction for history buffs.
Spend some time in Nene Valley by arranging to stay at Billing Aquadrome Holiday Park. Enjoy the wondrous scenery either by camping, hiring a caravan or maybe just a day trip. If you have the kids in tow, there are plenty of activities to keep them occupied such as swimming, karting and climbing.
Silverstone Circuit is only about 30 minutes from Northampton. Home to the British Grand Prix, a round of the World Endurance Championship race and a variety of other events all year round, take the time to visit this historic race circuit.
Santa Pod Raceway is also close to Northampton. Most famous for its drag racing, wander around a variety of events and car shows or simply come to watch cars, bikes and hot rods take to the famous ¼ mile strip.
