Spend Some Time in Derby
The city of Derby is officially said to be the most haunted city in the whole of the UK. Learn of the ghostly tales by embarking on one of the many night time ghost walks, if you dare.

Start off your day at Nottingham Castle and discover more about the history of the area. Nottingham has in fact got many caves hidden underneath so locate Mortimer’s Hole and explore!
Wander to the area where there was once a lace market and marvel at the historic buildings that surround you. Pay a visit to Sherwood Forest, the world famous home of the legendary Robin Hood and his merry men.
Catch a Race at Donnington Park
Check the race calendar before you pay a visit to this area and see what’s on. With a variety of events held here, including British Touring Cars Championship and British Superbikes rounds, whether you have an interest in heritage or modern vehicles, there will surely be something to entertain you.
Explore the Peak District National Park
Visit Derwent Valley Mills, classified as a World Heritage Site. From here visit Matlock Bath, home to the visitor attraction the Heights of Abraham which is a park atop a hill accessed by cable car.
Travel to Castleton, where you will find some caves to wander through including Blue John Cavern. Walk up Mam Tor and enjoy some of the hiking routes around Edale Valley.
