Whilst you will no doubt be exploring a little further afield, you should spend some time in Estepona itself. Begin by heading to Plaza de las Flores in the centre of the town. Stroll along the promenade and locate the bustling marina.
If you are looking out for the historical buildings here then marvel at the San Luis Castle walls and the El Calvario Chapel. There are three main museums situated in Estepona which are dedicated to bullfighting, ethnography and palaeontology too.
Traverse to Punta Pinillos or Playa de Velerín and view the unusual dark sand. Travel to all the beaches along the coastline and enjoy a lazy day.

Puerto Banus
You will surely travel straight to the popular harbour area in Puerto Banus. Perfect for catching some rays or sampling local cuisine, this will give you a taste of life here. If you fancy a spot of retail therapy then Corte Ingles and Marina Banus should be the places for you.
There are also many golf courses in this area of Spain. Los Arqueros is good for the average hobby golfer, whereas Santa Maria is altogether more challenging.
