Drive Around the Area
Make your way to Ria Formosa Nature Reserve, an area of wetland and dunes which protects a wealth of flora and fauna. You might even spot some flamingos. It is here that you find the nearest beach. If you fancy a stroll, you could even wander over to Vale do Lobo.
Take a drive to Olhao; the largest port in the Algarve and full of charm. Explore the two waterfront markets, take a stroll along the promenade and cool off in the shaded gardens.
Traverse to Quarteira where you can enjoy some time wandering along the promenade. There is a waterpark here as well, so perfect if you have the kids in tow. If you are however keen to escape the hustle and bustle, take the opportunity to walk to neighbouring Vilamoura.
