Relax at St Peter’s Port
St Peter’s Port is the largest town in Guernsey. This bustling port is full of cobbled streets and during the summer months, is packed full of floral displays.
You’ll find yourself confronted with Castle Cornet. It is open to the public all year round. It’s home to the Maritime Museum and the RAF 201 Squadron Museum. In the summer months the castle plays host to a number of theatrical productions that will delight and engage you.
Beautiful Beaches
Travel to the quaint parish of St Martins where you’ll find lovely beaches. There are also many other tranquil areas where you can soak up the sunshine at Vazon Bay, Fermain Bay or Petit Port. The latter two are more difficult to get to, but you will be rewarded with breathtaking views and fabulous scenery.
Head to Vale
When arriving in Vale, make sure you visit the annual Vale Earth Fair, usually held on the August Bank Holiday. If you’re here during the winter months there’s still plenty to be done; visit Vale Castle for wondrous views of the neighbouring islands. Get a boat to Herm, Sark or Alderney.
All of these islands represent very different personalities. Herm is a walker’s paradise. Walk between quiet beaches and along cliff tops. Do not miss Shell Beach which is made up from a myriad of broken shells.
Sark is well suited to those who like diving. Littered with soft coral and plenty of other underwater wonders, you will find so much to explore here. There are also numerous WWII shipwrecks to find too.
Alderney offers a variety of things to do. Enjoy fishing, sailing or cycling. There are a number of ways to explore the island.
