Should I rent a car in Ibiza with Zest Car Rental?
In short, yes! Ibiza Town, a coastal port town is only a short distance from Ibiza Airport. As the only airport on the island, it’s a hive of activity and the arrival point for the majority of tourists.
The town however is often overlooked in favour of alternative resorts such as San Antonio or Playa d'en Bossa. But that’s not to say there’s nothing to see here.
Head to Ibiza Town’s Old Town, Dalt Vila, to see the castle. Cross the drawbridge and stroll through the winding streets and numerous courtyards. The views over the town are also fantastic once you climb the old walls.
If you’re after sun, sea, and sand, there are some quiet beaches close to Ibiza Town if you hop in the car and head to Cala d’en Serra for starters. The neighbouring beach resorts of Figueretas on one side of the town and Talamanca on the other are also worthy of a visit, although they tend to be busier.
Exploring beyond Ibiza Town with your Rental Car
To make the most of Ibiza’s famous sunsets, drive to Las Salinas Salt Flats on the southernmost tip of the island. The heat of the day evaporates the water leaving the salt-bottomed lake to sparkle in the setting sun. If you fancy a bite to eat, there is a fantastic beach house, El Chiringuito Es Cavallet, nestled on Platja d’es Cavallet.
You can reach San Antonio Bay in 25 minutes by car. With wonderful beaches, a promenade, and plenty of restaurants and bars to choose from, San Antonio is a popular location for many tourists.
For those seeking a family break or a quieter holiday, head towards Santa Eulalia. There are plentiful art galleries, restaurants and shopping opportunities to enjoy.
If you want to experience the clubbing atmosphere, Playa D’en Bossa is only a short distance away. But not only is it home to Space and Ushuaia, it also has a great beach on which you can relax.
