The new year is well and truly here, and some of us are already thinking about our travel plans for the year ahead. I asked the Zest team what travel plans for 2018 they have in place and are looking forward to.

Shaun, our Digital Marketing Manager, is returning to Sardinia in March. He’s visited before and fell in love with the fantastic scenery so will head back to indulge in the great food and activities such as snorkelling, mountain biking and exploring old towns and national parks.
In June he’ll be heading to Germany for the legendary music festival, Rock am Ring. We included this rock-fest in our guide to the best music festivals last year. The line-up for 2018 includes acts such as Beth Ditto, Alexisonfire, Black Stone Cherry, Bullet for my Valentine, Foo Fighters, Gorillaz, Muse and 30 Seconds to Mars. Finally, in August, Shaun will head to our own coastline, Cornwall specifically, where he hopes to learn to surf.

Sue, our Accounts Assistant, managed to bag herself some fantastically-priced flights from Norwich Airport to reduce the amount of time she needs to travel, and is heading off to Crete in July. There she’ll be enjoying the change of scenery and acquainting herself with the beaches and gorgeous weather.
Pricing Administrator, Carly, has been invited to a wedding, but not just any wedding. This is being held in Ibiza in June; what a fantastic location during a delightful time of year. To top it off, she’ll be staying at Pikes Hotel, where the Club Tropicana music video was filmed. She’ll be taking full advantage of the time away from work to relax and drink cocktails on the beach.
Cbeebies Land calls for Ian, our Lead Web Developer, and heads off to stay in Bugbies Room with his family for his eldest’s birthday. He’ll also be enjoying another family holiday in June with a stay at the Aegean Blue by Atlantica in Rhodes. Soon though, he’s heading off to Amsterdam for a stag do, and will be staying in The Volkshotel which has some incredible themed rooms. They’re considering a visit to Anne Frank’s house and a cycle tour of the city.

Francis, one of our team of Car Rental Experts, is also off to a wedding. His partner has never been abroad before so he’s even more excited for the trip to Greece in August. They’ll be staying at the Hermioni Beachfront Villa which will act as a base for all their sightseeing expeditions.
