We are delighted to announce that we have been awarded ‘Best Car Hire Website’ at the Travolution Awards 2014.
In June, we dutifully wrote and sent off our awards entry. Having been shortlisted for both ‘Best Trade Supplier’ and ‘Best Car Hire Website’, we waited patiently with our fingers crossed until the winners were announced at the awards dinner on Tuesday 2nd December.
The Travolution brand is part of The Travel Weekly Group. It is the UK’s leading travel trade media group, which focusses primarily on the online travel industry and digital innovation.

It provides essential news, commentary, analysis and intelligence-based content to senior management, suppliers, distributers and agents in the travel industry. There were a number of contributing factors for which the Travolution Judges thought we deserved to be awarded ‘Best Car Hire Website’ this year.
As you may already know, Economy Car Hire has been voted ‘Best Car Hire Broker’ by consumer champion Which? in both 2013 and 2014. Our recent partnership with Feefo, a global ratings and reviews provider also acts as a clear indicator of consumer satisfaction. 98% of our customers have rated our service as either good or excellent, which is displayed on our website. Finally, this year we have also made some modifications behind the scenes, which help to maintain the smooth running of your car hire experience.
The competition standard this year was incredibly high and we are very proud that we came out on top this year.
I am very pleased that ECH have achieved this well deserved award.I voted for ECH in the awards competition as I have always used ECH and found them to not only be the cheapest, as everyone wants a bargain, but most efficient.
I am therefore a concerned by the experience of Mr Turner, although, having said that, we always take out additional insurance when booking with ECH.
I have no doubt ECH will remedy this unfortunate situation for Mr Turner asap, enhancing their reputation.
My wife and I always use ECH for our hire cars and I have no complaints whatsoever ,friendly staff when we need to telephone and good deals on rentals,
Good News re the awards
Bad news is that 2 OAPS were charged £558.17 insurance excess despite when booking (20/12/2013) for the 21st time in 6 years the advert and terms and conditions clearly stated’ no insurance excess’
All economycarhire.com have done is to ignore e-mails, ‘contact us’ letters. Fob us off with empty promises re ‘customer services will contact you shortly’ delay and procrastinate. Since June!!!
Not the attitude of an ‘award winning company’ towards 2 OAPS ripped off the equivalent of 5 weeks pension.
Come on ECH, do the right thing and refund the excess we were forced to pay. A little Christmas spirit would go a long way to restoring our faith in ECH
