Activities

Beaches

Ada Bogazi beach is found on the peninsular between Gumbet and Bitez but also goes under the name of Aquarium, thanks to the incredibly clear water allowing you to see the sea floor 30m below in the open water.
Camel Beach will be sure to win over the kids, or big kids! Boasting golden sands, the calm waters are ideal for swimming but the real appeal is that once you have dried off, the brave can take a ride on a camel.
Bitez Beach lays 10km away and backed by tangerine orchards, is an exceptionally beautiful and peaceful beach. It is located in the bustling village of Torba, which is a short distance away and also worth a visit, among plenty more.
Culture
With a long history, perhaps one of the best ways to get an insight into the history and culture of Bodrum is to visit some of the museums and historical sites which litter both the city and the nearby countryside. Bodrum Amphitheatre is one of the best preserved structures to be found here and is a great introduction to the past of the city.
The famous Castle of St Peter is one of the most prominent landmarks in the city and will surely capture your attention as soon as you arrive. Another excellently preserved medieval structure and in fact one of the best in the world, the interior is now a museum and the views across the city from the castle windows are fantastic.
Nicknamed the “Cotton Castle” because of its fairy like, brilliant white cascade of petrified waterfalls, mineral forests and terraced basins, this UNESCO listed heritage site goes by the official name of Pamukkale. Renowned for its therapeutic waters, this has been a staple cultural site of Bodrum since the Roman times. A visit here will take your breath away!
