There are numerous National Parks across the USA which should be at the forefront of an animal watching itinerary. What animals you will see depends on which area of America you visit. Here are some examples of the diversity of animal life resident in some of the different National Parks.

Yellowstone Park

The infamous Yellowstone Park which crosses the states of Wyoming, Montana and Idaho is a hub for all manner of wildlife in truly impressive surroundings. Sightings of moose, coyote and eagles are also possible amongst hundreds of other species. Be sure to go prepared with a good pair of binoculars!

Big Bend National Park

For animal spotting of a smaller, less dangerous variety, head over to Big Bend National Park. This is found in Texas and encroaches across the border into Mexico. There are also all manner of amphibians and many, many birds. If the thought of going it alone is a bit scary, there are a number of tours which you can embark on instead. The airboats are great and a quick way to travel to the heart of the Everglades. Come face to face with the “King of the Everglades”.
