Weather warnings are in place across the extent of the UK in preparation for heavy snow which is forecast throughout today. As a result, a number of airports have already closed in the UK with flights cancelled or delayed at several others. So far, the closures include Cardiff Airport, Bristol Airport and Southampton Airport and delays and cancellations have been reported at London Heathrow Airport.
As the snow spreads across the country throughout the course of the day, further airport closures and flight delays or cancellations could be seen.
If you are due to travel later today, this evening or tomorrow, it is advisable to check the status of your flight with your airline before you depart for the airport.
