Titanic Belfast Museum
We all know the tale of RMS Titanic and with the ship herself having been built in Belfast back in 1909, there is no better place for the world’s largest Titanic Museum. Opened in March 2012 to coincide with the 100 year anniversary of the sinking, a visit to the museum allows you to revisit the tale of this unforgettable disaster. Learn of the story from the start right through to the very end with 9 separate galleries to visit complete with special effects, full scale reconstructions and interactive features. Bear in mind that there is a fair amount of reading so it’s not really ideal for young children. The Giant’s Causeway

Belfast Castle
Set 400ft above sea level with fabulous views over Belfast, the castle, having been exceptionally well maintained, oozes grandeur. Complete with numerous fairytale turrets, it’s idyllic indeed. The fact that it isn’t in the city centre means it’s not often included on visitors itineraries so it can be considered a true hidden gem to some degree.
