Airports in the UK have started to re-open following the heavy snow. Weather forecasters have warned of freezing fog which could cause more delays and cancellations to flights.

  • Gatwick Airport has now reopened, but it is still advisable to check that your flight will be operating before heading to the airport.
  • Heathrow Airport will remain open, but flights are still subject to delays and cancellations.
  • Robin Hood Airport Sheffield will stay closed until at least 12pm Friday.
  • Newcastle Airport has warned passengers to expect flight cancellations and delays.

We would strongly advise that you check the status of your flight online before you head to the Airport. It is also wise to allow extra time for car journeys, as many roads have been affected by the snow.
