This is a quick roundup of the first 2 races (round 1) of the Mini Challenge JCW Championship. We’re sponsoring a hugely talented driver named Lewis Galer in this series, read this blog for full details.
Round 1 of the JCW Mini Challenge took place this weekend at Oulton Park in Cheshire and it was great to finally see the car on track. After 20 minutes of qualifying laps, Lewis was set to start race 1 at position 18 out of 26 racers, a fantastic start to Lewis’ debut season.
Round 1 consists of 2 races, the first of which saw Lewis jump up the ranks from his 18 place start all the way to 12th place – watch race 1 here. Race 2 saw Lewis start on the grid at 12th but finish the race in 10th after a great battle – watch race 2 here, an absolutely fantastic debut to Lewis’ season. Well done, Lewis, we can’t wait for round 2 at Snetterton on the 19th May.
Lewis now sits in 14th place in the Championship standings. With his home track of Snetterton next on the calendar, we can’t wait to see what Lewis can do.
