Beaches

Surrounded by blue-green sea, the beaches play a major role in any holiday here, regardless of which island you choose. Snowy white stretches of sand glisten in the sunshine while the waves of the crystal clear water rush up the shore to meet it. There are secluded coves perfect for a spot of serenity and relaxation and busy bustling beaches brimming with sun worshippers. The waters are perfect for swimming and a selection of water sports are widely available across the islands. Tiny beach bars and restaurants are never hard to find either. Whatever your ideal beach, the Balearics are sure to deliver.

Weather

The weather in the Balearics is fantastic to say the least. In fact, these three islands can claim host to 300 days of sunshine per year, with 12 hours of sunshine per day in the summer months. With average summer temperatures of high 20°s to early 30°s so if you are looking to top up your tan, the Balearics should be ideal! The sea temperature is pretty tempting too, usually sitting at between 23°c and 27°c. Even during spring and autumn the sun and sea is plenty warm enough!

Nightlife and Celeb Spotting

The nightlife in the Balearics, particularly on the island of Ibiza is famous the world over and despite its relatively small size, it definitely packs a punch when it comes to night clubs and having a good time. Many of the nightclubs are renowned as the world’s best so you’ll be hard pressed to come away without having the night of your life! Such an infamous reputation goes hand in hand with many celebrities who come to party and relax during the summer months at their villas and on yachts. Keep your eyes peeled when you’re out and about and you may spot a few!

Diving & Cycling

Surprisingly, the Balearics are a great location for both cycling and diving. Each island is traversed with multiple cycling paths which lead you to some lesser travelled areas of the island via gorgeous countryside and picture perfect scenery. Diving is also great here and there are plenty of locations where you can take your PADI qualification. Once you have done so you can explore the underwater caverns and caves and even some sunken shipwrecks too.
